London is the place where so many creative ideas and concepts were born, including the roots of jungle and drum and bass music, which has teetered on the fence between underground and mainstream culture since its birth more than 30 years ago.
Two of the key pioneers of the genre are Fabio and Grooverider, both DJs from south London who formed a long-standing partnership initially playing on a pirate radio station in Brixton.
They’re still at the forefront of the scene, and are still innovating too, with a live show in the capital playing alongside a 40 piece orchestra at the Eventim Apollo.
