With 45,000 runners participating in the 2023 London Marathon, it’s an event that draws huge crowds to the capital’s streets – and millions more on TV.

I will be taking part this year, raising funds for Blood Cancer UK – and have been digging to discover the true spirit of the race and what the challenge will demand.
