Transport for London have launched their first designated London walking route in almost 20 years.
Called the Green Link Walk, it’s a 15 mile route from Peckham to Epping Forest, connecting communities along it to over 40 green spaces.
It’s been introduced to meet demand, with a 10% increase in leisure walking in the capital since the pandemic – and TfL’s own research reveals that 57% of Londoners wanted more of the space dedicated to walking.
The Walking and Cycling Commissioner Will Norman opened the route in Clerkenwell earlier today.
